What kind of tracks are these from?

Found them in my yard today. Much bigger than the usual fox and squirrel tracks. Spaced exactly 2 feet apart.

Those are definitely Chupacabra tracks!

Sorry. I couldn't help myself! Honestly I have no idea what left those tracks, but they sure are interesting! Can't wait to see what responses you get from some folks who know what they're talking about!

I found this picture of a Coyote track. Looks pretty close....

It sure does! Grab a ruler and go place it beside one of those tracks in your yard - if the length is similar, I think you might be onto something! Just remember that the prints are in slushy snow, and therefore are most likely going to be slightly larger than the foot that originally left them.

Coyote track looks very close, although I'm no expert. The track in the second photo appears to match that of a sneaker.lol

Tracks in snow will get very large quickly after they are made, the snow melts away, making the track double or even triple in size. They can appear to be from an animal that is larger than the original. Unless they are very fresh. Good luck with the camera.

I don't know how you guys missed the alien face in that first photo.Or maybe its the Virgin Mary crying?Looks more real than that burnt piece of toast.

It is an old book but not so old that evolution has changed coyote tracks all that much.

As for the neighbors beagle, if the tracks wonder all over it was probably a dog. However coyotes, fox and wolf being wild hunters tend to be perfect walkers.

Nope those tracks were in a very straight line from the street and across my yard and down into the woods heading toward the lake....I could have put a string down them they were so straight. That is why I was wondering. And like I said there were several fox tracks which were much smaller. Could have been a neighborhood dog though....

They are Coyote track. Somtimes the outside nails on the paws/pads do not always leave marks. As you can see in the pictures below that Coyote tracks are in line similar to yours in your yard. you can also see the charts show your Coyote Vs. Bobcat tracks. From looking at your pictures I can see that the snow was some what wet by the compacted foot print of your boot so when the Coyote passed by your home the compacting snow, melting and ground conditions did not allow the paw/pad of the animal to spread (as if it were traveling on harder snow covered ground or mud like the pictures below) from its body weight leaving behind a perfect track. you can also see on the chart that the markings from the pads of the Coyote paw match your marks very well. I have been hunting Coyote for some years now and when I was told how to identfy and track you first always look for the middle two nail marks of the track it identify the Coyote.

One quick way to differentiate feline tracks from canine tracks is claw marks. Feline tracks do not show claws, canine tracks do.

I'm not saying the track appears to be FROM a cat, but rather the track appears to be the image OF a cat's face.

I think it looks like a bunny with it's ears laid back. If you look real close you can see it's nose twitching!

I think these tracks are from the very rare Winnipesauki Forum Space Monkey. They were brought here to explore a while back...many of you may remember the thread about the teenage boy and girl who were found in a car, and said they had been abducted by an alien ship...it was a year or so ago. Well, the W.F.S.M.s were brought on that very same ship.
Now, let's hope they don't wonder onto Ward Bird's property.

Well, not sure it is a Coyote now. I caught this dog on my game camera last night. Could this be who is leaving the tracks in my yard? Maybe.

I wonder if it is a stray or lost. This is in Suissevale if you have seen it let me know.
