Default Car boats on Paugus Bay

We saw these four "vintage" car boats cruising towards the Weir's channel this afternoon.

Thank for the video.

About 3:30 this afternoon we were headed north from West Alton on Rt 11 toward Glendale. My wife was driving, I glanced up and saw this little blue car with a white top and fins on the tail lights. I said "was that a Nash Metropolitan? But the tail light fins don't fit in". She said "There were boat nav lights on it"! So we speculated that is was an amphibious car.

Must have been neat to see them in the water.

Default Amphicar

My Dad had one of those in the 70's, and it wouldn't surprise me if the red one in the video was his. Right hand drive, Triumph engine in the rear. Dad never really cared about the bilge pump in our boat, but in that car it was crucial...
