Default To screen or not to screen

I believe if we get to many more like DBAG we'll have to go back to the screening. For those of you who may be wondering just review his threads dated today. Good luck Mr. Webmaster.

I agree ... after reading the "DBAG" posts of today it appears that his only intent is to cause trouble. However, I believe the new forum software gives Don Z. total control over who is allowed access to the forum, so I would imagine we won't be seeing many more "DBAG" posts.

I do believe it's time to use the new feature. We can consider this an opportunity, not a nuisance I would hope the occasional situation like this doesn't lead us to re-consider forum moderation. If for no other reason, it's too much work for Don. At most, this thing is a minor nuisance which'll be handled in short fashion. The benefits of immediate-posting still outweigh the "costs" IMHO.

Thumbs up Bravo, Don

Bravo, Don! I was hoping for just that resolution! Thank you for all you do. . I hope you won't have to do that very often, but we're all relieved that you stay on top of things so well. Bless your heart for the patience you display, the diplomacy you excercise, and the good judgement you practice!

Default Internet Trolls

Seems like Internet Trolls show up everywhere. They are best ignored. As usual, Don did a good job taking care of the situation, thanks Don. Clicking on that little red triangle with an I in it on the left of a post will report a bad post. I heard a rumor that sometimes the Webmaster is away from the forum for a few minutes and clicking that button lets Don know where to look.

Thumbs up Thanks for the tip!

Gene, thanks for the tip - I was not aware of the power of the little yellow icon - I'll bet you've alerted a whole bunch of us to yet another great feature of this wonderful new layout. As always, Don continues to provide us all with a suberb forum!

Exclamation Report Bad Post Button

It is the little triangle button next to the green light under your name. I didn't remember it either last night. So glad DBag is history!

Wink How my eyes saw the triangle...

Reminder: You have to be logged online to see it - the button in the lower left portion of your post will be green , in color.

If you are just browsing the forum and reading posts without being logged on, it will not appear - the button in the lower left portion of your post will be purplish , in color.

Thumbs up Ole geezer back on the Bad post report

I see all the triangles on the names above mine, but how did they get there????? Is there a spot that if I write something and want to report a bad post how do I find and attcah the triangle or don't I. It gets there some other way???? Sorry, guess I'm just slowing down at the retirement age.
Thanks all and have a geat day. Dam I just noticed I made a Member. Do I get some kind of certificate or something to hang on my wall?

Don't worry, for the time being no new member can post anything until I approve their membership.

You click on the triangle to report a bad or offensive post that was made by someone else. That will alert Don to look at the post that was reported. You will notice there is no triangle next to your own posts when you are logged in but at the bottom right of your own posts there is an "edit" button if you want to correct one of your own posts.

P.S. Can't call you "junior" anymore

You finally broke through to the ole geezer. Maybe it's because I have a bit of rest under my belt and can see things a bit clearer. You have saved everyone form reading that stupid question over again.
Thanks alot and may God put the subject back to sleep.
Have a fantastic Mother's day weekend
