PWC recomendations
I'm thinking of buying a used one, maybe a few years old. I did a search and only found old threads. Any recommendations on newer models. I want a 3 seat, 4 stroke, and no supercharger or turbo. Something powerful enough to pull a tube but not too crazy fast. I'm on lake Waukewaun so I can only go so fast before I run out of lake.

my opinion
You will get many different opinions on this. I'll share that I have a 2007 Seadoo GTX. It has well over 200 hours on it and all it has really ever needed is an oil change and some seat stitching (it sits on a mooring and is exposed to the elements from May to October) It is a three seater, plenty of power to pull a tuber and goes plenty fast (50 MPH at 6AM on a glass like lake)
I will probably buy another in a year or so. |

I have not used my Yamaha in a few years and should probably sell it. It runs perfect and has about 100 hours I believe. It is an FX cruiser and runs about 60 top end. I'll get more exact info and pics if your interested.

Bought a 2009 Seadoo GTI se 130 with 80 hours. Bought from an older gentlemen like me who took very good care of it. He bought it new, only used it in his lake, and never left it in the water. He had a crank up hanger. My wife and I can't wait to take it for a spin.

3-seater
Is the one you bought a 3-seater. Do you plan to travel with it. The advantage with the 3-seater is you can go on Squam Lakes which require a 3-seater unless they changed the rules.

Yes, I'm on Waukewaun and I believe you need a 3-seater on my lake also. We plan on traveling with it. It's looks so much easier to deal with, in and out, than my 19ft boat. I will just leave my boat at my dock in Waukewaun. I can't wait to try it out! If I like it I may just buy another one and sell the boat.

Last year was my first year with 2 SeaDoo GTX 155's 2008 .......great machines, approaching 60mph and honestly enjoy them more than the boat on nice days. Daughter loves them as well.......sometimes too much!

The GTI se 130 is perfect for my first one. If I really like it then I will buy a little faster one for me and let my wife and kids take this one.
