New Endicott wreck shots
Have a new side-scan-sonar unit but also run the Humminbird SSS at the same time for other purposes, mostly depth checks because the transducer is hull mounted and gives me (some) advance warning of impending "terrain issues" that helps me avoid crashing the towfishbehind the boat into the bottom. This is a true commercial towed Edgetech Model 4125 unit that can run simultaneous 400/900 khz frequencies.
Large shadow from bow in one of the images. Unknown object as well in one of them. Looks like an inflatable that is no longer inflated. Still practicing and getting used to it. It is a handful to learn to run just right but what it can do is amazing. The shots were easy because the Endicott is both shallow and very big and made a good practice target. More to come. Found some new wrecks I need to dive. |

Diver,
Have you found any new wreck sites lately? Are you still searching? In years past, it seemed like you found a new wreck every week! It was great fun to come online and see and hear of your discoveries. The youtube videos were especially exciting. I haven't seen many new post's by you this season. Do you have less time? Have you lost interest? I hope not |

I see were he has done several presentations on diving and wrecks in the lake...Just did one for the Lake Winni museum, I believe. Seem to remember seeing info about it in the Weirs Times and Laconia Sun.

SunsetPoint,
Not less time just alot more to do. Interest bigger than ever. Found several new things with many more coming up I'm sure. Have searches all over the lake planned. Have been out practicing since May though with the new unit. Not something you just drop in the water and pull around by any stretch of the imagination. |

Lecture
Hans,
Sorry I missed your presentation! I came up Friday night, went shopping at Hannafords and saw it on the front page of the Laconia News but is was already noon and you started at 11 AM! I was so mad I missed it!!! By any chance did you or anyone record it? When's your next one? I had a small charter go out Sunday and we did 3 dives. Started at Paugus Bay (3 barges & Scamp), Then tried to hit the Tug at the Witches but too busy with traffic and my top person wasn't too comfortable so abandoned that and went over to Long Island and Herrills Landing for the 3 small wooden wrecks in the cove. Then finished up with a nice long dive on the "Lady". Got about 3 hours of bottom time in. One of my divers even used his rebreather all day! Anyway always enjoy your stories and reports. Keep them coming................. Thanks, Jim Carozza Shark Bait Diving Adventures Fay's Boat Yard |

Presentations coming up:
- 7/17/13 at Moultonboro Public Library at 7pm sponsored by the MBoro Historical Society; - 8/5/13 at the Community Ctr., Wolfboro sponsored by the WBoro Historical Society; - Another as of yet un-scheduled one back at the Lake Winni Historical Society & Museum in their newly renovated facility in September; I strongly suggest an RSVP if poss.-last Sat. was again nuts with perhaps 110 people showing up with room in seats for 80-85; Had to turn people away so PLEASE at least call ahead to see what the deal is on seating for each event. |

2nd sonar shot of Endicott
New close-up shot; Holes in the shadows cast to the right are the portholes of the wreck.
