Default Sawyer Point on Twentymile Bay in Tuftonboro

sawyerpoint is doing a history of the Sawyer Point Road Association in Tuftonboro in honor of the organization's 50 years of service from 1971 to 2021.
Sawyer Point is located on eastern side of the lake at Twentymile Bay.
I am also doing a history of the families and properties on the Point. Any information or anecdotes of the people who lived here in the past would be appreciated, especially the Caverly, Piper, Edgerly and Sawyer families.

Does the "Sawyer Point" somehow connected to the "Sawyers", the horrible burger joint.

In the late 70’s through at least the mid 80’s a close friend’s family owned a home there, sadly selling to buy a home on Cape Cod. ( which never happened).
