Default Yamaha or Suzuki

Hello,
I am thinking of buying a new boat with a choice of one of these motors. A Yamaha 250 four stroke or the Suzuki 250 four stroke. Would like some opinions please.
The Suzuki is quite a bit cheaper. Not sure how many dealers service Suzuki in the area?

Thanks

i'd go with a yamaha......i dont believe there are too many places that sell (dealers) suzuki, but all most any marina should be able to work/fix one.... but its up to you on which you would choose to be best for your boating.....

Be careful the Suzuki must be "quite a bit cheaper" for a reason. They have got to be giving up something somewhere. When your stuck in the lake at the end of the day the money you saved will seem meaningless.

Both the Suzuki and Yamaha 250's have excellent reputations for longevity and reliability. Since it is the servicing dealer who can make owning a boat (or a car) a dream or a nightmare, your best bet is to pick a dealer that you feel best about and is reasonably convenient.

Around the big lake:

Gillan and Y-Landing are Suzuki dealers

Channel, Trexlers and Meridith Marinas are Yamaha dealers.

Thanks folks,
I am thinking of buying a boat out of state. Small boat company not local. Great rep. Its helpful to know there are dealers in the area for both motors.

Thanks
