Default tempt

It is not nice to tempt mother nature. Remember the law and obey. But then again what nut would take there boat out and chance getting stranded.

Default First boat of the new year

Two or three years ago, we went to First Night in Wolfeboro with some friends. It was a cold evening, so we retreated to home a bit before midnight. We're on Moultonboro Neck facing across to 19 Mile Bay, and sometimes we can see Wolfeboro fireworks above the trees.

So we were standing there watching for fireworks, about 5 minutes past midnight, when we saw a moving light across the way. At first, we thought it was a car driving along Rt. 109 past 19 Mile Bay. But no...it was a boat...moving at planing speed...making its way through the Graveyard.

Good grief. I suppose this guy got a good story out of it, but our only thought was, "I sure hope he doesn't have any problems out there." I kinda doubt that the Marine Patrol is on call to help out at that hour on that day at that time of year.

Default Airboat?

Could it have been an airboat. Ice or water, doesn't make any difference. Doesn't one of our forum members have one thats used to Bear Island.

Seen what the NH Marine Patrol has in mind for signs to inform the boatng public at various spots on & around Lake Winnipesaukee?

I have absolutely no interest in a tee-shirt imprinted with one of these new MP signs.....not one little bit.....no-way !
