Default Metrocast internet

I’m going through my second loss of internet today. And it was down for most of Friday. Is this a regular thing? I’m trying to work from the lake this week and these interruptions make it difficult.

We went through something similar a few months ago. We work from home so have the highest speed internet we can get through Metrocast. After several attempts to reboot (turn off and then turn on the router and modem) we upgraded our router and modem to newer models recommended by Metrocast and we have had no issues since.

Hope this works for you, too.

Default I meant Atlantic Broadband

Forgot they changed names. I’ve down and back up a couple of more times since my first post.

I have their “ultra” Speed internet service and can’t remember the last time it was down. Very reliable and always full speed no throttling at all...

Default ABB issues

I've had ongoing issues on and off with ABB internet and telephone service. I've been thru a couple of different modems and numerous firmware updates, sometimes a couple of different FW versions over a weeks time. I've found it necessary to install a timer that causes my modem to reboot every night overnight when we are sleeping. This has solved some but not all of the issues.

Same here, no issues. I did buy my own modem; they have a list to choose from. So no rental fees.

Normaly i am at 200 Mbps download but today about noon it dropped to .8 Mbps (yes .8). Call and waited for a good 30 minutes on hold... they check to my cable modem... everthing looks good from our end, we will sent a tech out thursday. But... 3 kids on school and 2 work from home parents. Well we are sorry, will be out thursday. About 6pm today back up to 200 Mbps and seems fine. BTW, ran coax across drive from cable POE to modem to bypass house wire and spltters... no difference. They said no issues on there side, no reported problems.
