Default Vessel Safety: Free at Paugus Bay

The Lakes Region Power & Sail Squadron will be providing free vessel safety examinations at Paugus Bay Marina the weekend of May 22-23 from 8am to 12pm. If you want to ensure you have all the correct safety equipment, this is a good method. Also, you can save on your boat insurance!

Default

In addition to the Vessel Safety Checks at Paugus Bay Marina, we will be doing VSCs at a number of locations throughout the summer.

Please check our web site: Lakes Region Sail and Power Squadron, Event Calendar for locations and times.

Also, we will be at PBM from 8 am to 4 pm on the 22nd and 23rd.

Default Not quite rained out

Well, I braved the rain and arctic temperatures – went to the event at Paugus Bay Marina today. I must say, the Power Squadron was in full force and actually did perform a few vessel safety checks. PBM pulled boats out of the racks and kept them indoors. They expect to do the same for any of their customers that arrive tomorrow. Of course, if anyone arrives by boat, they do not have to be a PBM customer to receive a safety check. Can’t say many people would be going out in this weather though.

Default Vessel Safety Checks at PBM

Thank you Coastal Laker for braving the inclement weather this weekend and coming to PBM. We do appreciate it. You are right, the LRSPS was there in force along with Marine Patrol performing Vessel Safety Checks both in and out of the water. I myself even did some on out of state boaters who frequent Winni. Nice to see this. The Lakes Region Sail & Power Squadron have Vessel Safety checks scheduled for June 5th at Lakeport Landing and Channel Marine from 8AM - 4PM. Also on June 12th at all the town docks (same hours). As Paugus Bay Resident mentioned - please check out our web site for the complete listing of days and times along with the schedule fot "BOAT SMART" courses.

Lakes Region Sail & Power Squadron and click on "EVENTS".
