Default Zebra Finches Need a Good Home

Two adorable male Zebra finches, about 4 years old, healthy and perky. We are moving abroad and sadly cannot take them with us. They are charming birds, full of life and chatter, love to build nests (ever hopeful a female will appear), very low maintenance. Finches do not sing, but have a pleasant and lively chirp.

They come with a care (24x18x32 tall) and all the accessories. Easy to care for: fill their food dish and water every other day, cover the cage at night, and clean it every 2-3 weeks. No drafts, but 50 degrees at night is ok. You can leave them alone as long as a week with extra water and food in the cage.

Please help us and adopt these wonderful birds. They are in Moultonborough now, but I can deliver them anywhere in the lakes region. Email me for more details.

Cute as can be! How old are they? What is there life expectancy? Do they require any veterinary care? Do they interact with you?

They are about 4 (born in our house, so exact age is uncertain). Their parents lasted 6 or 7 years. Never been to a vet. They are very talkative, chattering whenever they see someone they know. They are not finger-perching birds. however. They do not sing, but have many vocalizations both to each other and to others in the vicinity. They chitter at the dog, who thinks they are interesting but not good playmates (if only they could throw his ball....).

I visited some friends in Maine and they are interested in taking your finches. Please PM if they are still available and when you would be be willing to part with them.

Default Finches have left the nest

Thanks to all who replied. The finch brothers have found a wonderful new home with a young family, and we are off to Paris for a three-year stint.
