Default Proposed WOW Trail Expansion

I just stumbled across this, it's an article from last month.

"In a few years, walkers or cyclists may be able to move between Weirs Beach and Meredith without ever setting foot on a main road or highway. That is, if a newly proposed expansion of the WOW Trail makes it through the various approval and fundraising hurdles."

So, they want to skip over phase 3 and go to phase 4, whatever happened to phase 3, it's been off the radar for a few years now?

Trying to get phase 4, so they can force phase 3 into existence.

Several 100s of thousands of grant dollars for non-motorized use goes unused each year... so jumping to a different phase... if the study proves feasible... allows them to employ monies that would go to other municipalities or States.

Since the usage of the lake is expanding... some format of land use expansion is the other balance point to the equation.

The Cape Cod bike path is hugely popular, really nice for all, and probably does a bit to reduce car traffic

Starting this Saturday, May 7 2022 you can pay $151 to use a pedal cart ...... www.hoborr.com/rail-bike-adventures/ .... on their 2.5-mile stretch of tracks in Laconia and Belmont running along side to Lake Winnisquam. Price $151, for all one, two, three, or four pedalers, same total price.

Or, you can take that $151 to you-know-where in Gilford or Plymouth or Tilton and pick from a very large selection of new bicycles that all require balance and individual independence and determination-, something NOT used on those totally un-American Hobo R.R. bike carts.

Or, go to Ladders Thrift in Plymouth for a much less expensive, used bicycle.

Can’t disagree here. $151 for a pedal lakeside ride in which you do all the work is high. To add value they could add a homeless encampment tour

That would need a northern tour through Lakeport.

Maybe they could even make part of the Trail detour and go straight to Patrick's Pub by the airport. Maybe the owner could offer FREE liquid refreshments and a small lunch. Park your Bikes right out front, Plenty of parking and just stroll in. If the Owner is thinking about this, I wish he would come out and tell everyone up front so we can plan on these things. But only (1) free beer per person.

The price for 4 is in line for what Scenic RailRiders, charges down in Concord. There's supposed to be another similar operation starting up in Madison. I've also heard rumors the Conway Scenic, is considering theur own rail bike adventure. The attraction is growing in popularity.
