I've seen those around the city where I live. As someone who cycles to work, weather permitting, and knowing what passes for even a bike path is atrocious, it's not the worst idea if you're going to do it.
Funny thing they mention the Dutch father worried in the article though. I met my boyfriend when I was living in the Netherlands, aka bike capital of the world, with wonderful infrastructure that makes it so safe no one wears a helmet. When he moved over, he refused to get a bike and refuses to cycle, helmet or no. WAY too dangerous! |
