Laker depth?
How deep are you guys fishing for lakers these days? Anyone using lead core line? I was fishing a couple weeks ago and went down about six colors but didn't have any luck with lakers. Thanks!

Pretty soon they will be on the bottom and some are now, but you can still catch them and I have been in the 30' - 35' range (6-7 colors of lead). If you have a fish finder look for areas with a lot of structure and drop offs and troll a little slower than you would for salmon. If you a see a couple sitting on the bottom with your fish finder, try stopping and jig for them. I have a lot of fun doing this late in the summer!! Good luck! Dan |
