Default Dependable mechanic

I have a boat at mountain view yacht club. I would like to have some minor work done at the end of the season. Does anybody know of a good service man or company that can trailer boat and perform some repairs. I do not have a trailer so one would be needed.

Welcome to the Forum!

Could you give us an idea of what kind of repairs?

I can say that Dave Ewing at Dave's Motorboat Shoppe in Gilford is one of the best. He trailers boats to his shop every day.

Default Mechanic at MVYC?

I have used Irwin Marine at MVYC for many years and been well satisfied. Family members who also are at MVYc (valet) use Dave Ewing and are very pleased also. My family members have their own trailer. I don't have a trailer, so I go for convenience as well as quality and reputation. Calling Dan at MVYC on Monday morning and knowing that whatever I need will be done before next weekend (within abilities) is very important to me. If you are looking at warranty work, that might involve a particular certified dealer, but it sounds like your work is more generic. If you don't have a trailer and expect somebody to come get your boat, work on it, and return it, I'd anticipate extra fees, compared to someplace where you can deliver the boat. Once you deliver it, do they need to pull it out of the water? Fee?
