Default Communication Headsets

Lakes region snowmobilers,

Can you recommend the best set of headset communication devices for a helmet.

Must have a very good range and would like but not required to be able to link to my iPod.

Not knowing much about them I am hearing Bluetooth communicators have limited range and to stay away from...

Going on a Gaspe Peninsula trip and would appreciate any info you can offer.

Thanks!

Dan

Default I like my Scala

Will use all winter long and they work well. I also have it linked to my phone and it has a FM radio so you can listen to music when you're not talking to the other rider. http://cardosystems.com/portfolio-it...cation-system/

Note.... slednh.com and hardcoresledder.com are good snowmobiling forums for more info!

We have Scala as well and they work great, range is pretty good in open terrain. When we get into the hills they work, but the range is much shorter. Still better than a direct blue tooth connection to the other rider, and if your phone(s) are synched to them you can always call each other if you have service.

Thanks Guys!

After speaking to a few friends and a guide friend in Canada. I decided to try the new "Chatterbox" communicators. One of the options that drew me to them is their wireless push to talk button feature which can be handlebar mounted.

I'll report back on how I like them in the upcoming months if and when we ever get snow!!
