My husband is turning 60 this week and our lake house is his favorite place to be. I'd like to buy him something special he can enjoy when there? I really need some ideas, got any???

Does he monitor this forum, don't want to ruin the surprise

I've seen a couple wooden maps of the lake for sale. That would be neat if he doesn't already have one.

Default ideas....

Obviously it depends on what you want to spend and what he enjoys doing while there, but here are some ideas:

--nice pair of binoculars to watch boats and lake activity
--fishing gear
--nice gas grill
--kayak or paddleboard
--a painting of your lake house
--a large collage photo frame of family and friend photos of fun times at the lake

those were the first things that came to mind...good luck!

Default Seaplane Ride

For my birthday my son took my grandsons and I on the Lakes Region Seaplane Tour. It was awesome! The lake looks amazing from the sky and the pilot is very knowledgeable about the lake. We flew over all our favorite spots and I even got to fly the plane. It was supposed to be a 30 minute ride but ended up a 45 minute ride. They are located across from McDonald's right on Paugus Bay. They have a web site also.

They used to sell them at the art shop in downtown Wolfboro (same price as the web site)

I recently purchased the new book " Islands of Lake Winnipesaukee". It is a wonderful book with beautiful photos. The author spoke at the Moultonborough Library last week. His talk was fascinating. He kayaked to all the islands.

I have that EXACT map on my porch at the lake. It was the first one they shipped out. It's pretty impressive, lots of great comments by all who see it.

Default Margaritaville!!

My wife bought me one of these frozen drink makers a few years ago and I wouldn't be on the island without it!!

This is one of the reasons my signature says "It Always Sunny On Welch Island"!

Or a 1954 Vett, I would be happy with that.

If that is a bit beyond the budget, the previously mentioned Winni Islands book and a biplane ride to fly over all of them.

Cool

There are companies that offer the service of an aerial picture of your lakeside home. That would be something I would like......

You know that is something they used to do all the time. They would fly around and take pictures and then come knock on your door to sell the picture to you. We have several of them. I wish they still did that.
