Unhappy Guessing summer is over

Baring an extended Indian Summer stretch, looks like the lake temps have started the ride downward. Could see the last of the 70's over the next few days.

Default Another summer gone!

I talked to my father today and he told me the jetski is out of the water and being winterized. A sad, sad day.

Are summers getting shorter or an I getting older?

Unhappy It's True, Summers Gone

Rattlesnake Guy and I went by boat to the Weirs and were surprised at the lack of people. It was nice to get a slip without hassle, but sad to see that summer is in fact over. 11:00 am on a beautiful warm sunny day and practically no one was around.
The night before, after ForumFest I, we went up to Waldo Peppers. It was sad to see Pop’s Clam Shell and Sawyers closed. There were hardly any cars on the road. Peppers was crazy busy though. Guess that’s what happens when you have good food, decent prices and a super hostess.

I too went by the weirs yesterday RG and was actually surprized that there were a few more boats in the channel than anticipated. The town docks were empty though.Made a trip to Braun Bay and was also surprized to see about 40-50 boats rafting. What a truely spectacular day it was to be on Winni!! SS

NOO! It's over! Even with the awful weather I still had a great summer! I was just up this weekend and Sunday was probably the last great day we'll see till next summer!

Unhappy Yes It is Over

I have to agree that summer is over.

I Hope everyone has a nice Indian Summer (if we get one) and a good leaf viewing season on the lake as well before the boating season is over.

I was near the lake on business and drove up to Roberts Cove for a look and it was a little rough on the broads but all in all it was a pleasant fallish day. Had the top down on the car too.

Tomorrow is supposed to be very nice so Mrs Just Sold and I along with Lilly (our dog) will spend the day on the lake. It will be nice to find dock space at the area town docks and not have to wait or cram the boat into a space.

Default Good bye summer!

I now know that my love for the lake has passed onto my 19 month old daughter. She was all sad and waving good bye to the boat and dock when we took them out this past weekend. All ages seem to know how special a place the lake is! Have a happy and safe autumn everyone!

I had the rare opportunity to have the summer off, not by choice. I have not spent this much time at the lake since I was a child. It was a great summer, a little less rain would have been nice but oh well.
