Default Evenrude Service tec.

I am looking for a Evenrude technician that knows Evenrude inside and out. I have a 2001 9.9 4stroke kicker motor for the fishing boat, and the thing just doesn’t run smooth as it should. I have had it serviced twice, once by a Yamaha guy that replaced the carburetor, and by a certified Evenrude technician that adjusted the carburetor and the thing still runs like (not so good)
I have narrowed down my search to 3 marinas, Parker’s, Thurston’s and Winnisquam. Any suggestions good or bad, or any that you would recommend, would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thurston's is probably your best bet.

For what it's worth, I think those 4-stroke Evinrudes were actually built by Suzuki. You might look in to that.

Default +1 for Thurstons

gf2020 is correct, Thurstons is the only certified Evinrude tech on the lake. Call their service department and speak with Bruce. They are great crew and have wonderful techs on staff. They have been servicing my needs for a few years now and I could not be happier.

Good Luck!

Dan

Yes, they service Etecs as that is what I have on my boats.
