Default What's the name of your boat?

"Family Above All"
Meredith, NH

She's a Rinker Deep V bow rider, white with blue accents. She's the perfect Winni Day Boat. 5.7 fuel injected mercruiser with Alpha III. Our new home port is the Meredith Yacht Club. Please say hello when you see us out on the lake!

Boat's name is Summer Breeze. Sea Ray 300 Sundancer. Home port is Mountain View Yacht Club. We often make the trip to Meredith town docks to enjoy the sites and "Frankie's" ice cream at C'man's Town Docks restaurant.

We purchased a new pontoon boat last year and we named it "Loony Pontoony"
The home port is in Green's Basin.

Default Upthesaukee Too

Our original boat was Upthesaukee. Traded it in on our 25 ft Mariah. While we have referred to it as Upthesaukee Too, I just picked up the lettering from Gator Signs, and will be putting them on this weekend.

Thank you Gator Signs...great job...

And then next week, with any kind of luck, Upthesaukee Too will be Inthesaukee too.

Four Winns 190 = Swifty in honor of my in-laws, because with out them I would not be on the lake. Unofficially I call it Marine 61 to my FD buddies

Sea Nymph 14' = The Conquistador unofficially Marine 6 with my FD buddies

"Numero Uno"

Dedicated to our first dog Newman which is what we call him sometimes, I don't know why

Mostly we refer to our 22' pontoon boat simply as "the 'tooner" but we felt that since it's our first boat together and our dogs nick name, then Numero Uno would be more appropriate.

The only problem is, I don't know of a good place on a pontoon boat to put the name.

Phantom, you inspired me with the Breast Cancer logo on your boat.
This will be our second season having a boat and I think an appropriate name for our currently unnamed boat will be
"Precious Time".

PERFECT name !!

As I am sure you can appreciate .... it sums it up !

For us, the boat was already named (it's actually our second boat)........ I had considered two pink overlapping ribbons to denote the second Phantom & my wife's successful recovery from her second battle with BC. But in the end the artwork didn't look good.

When my wife saw the first ultrasound of or 1st grandchild, she said.. "it looks like a "Sea Monkey" " So the boat became "Sea Monkey 1" .

This year we will need to change it to "Sea Monkey 2" ! and before the years over.. "Sea Monkey 3"

It can mean so many things in so many ways on so many levels, and be interpreted personally by each person. Pretty cool.
I don't believe there is an unwritten rule for more than one boat with the same name. If you like it, and it has meaning, by all means use it!
If I ever came across a boat with the same name I would be grinning ear to ear and have to say hello.

Default Sapna

Means "Sweet Dream" in Hindi. It was name of our Chapparell that we traded last summer for a Searay. Haven't named Searay yet, maybe we'll re-use the name. She will be docked at our bungalow in Meredith Bay starting someday soon! Give us a wave on your way to Meredith!

No name yet on our newest Bowrider, but after years of always having a boatload of rug rats on board, "Romper Room" was suggested.

My current boat has no name but...

The 28' boat I used to keep in Mystic CT was named by my kids. One day, as we were meandering down the no wake zone I asked them what we should name it. Looking back at the white trail and seeing my not so straight course they suggested:

ZIG ZAG

After putting on the stern decals I expected to be stopped by the DEA.

Registration NH420MJ would be the clincher.
When MM is finally passed this year I'm sure you'll see all sorts of creative names on boats.

After 45 years of skiing on the lake by mooching rides from my pals, I finally bought a nice ski boat last year: 4 Winns Horizon 200. My daughter named it, "It's Aboat Time!"

Default No Problem

Named by my father when he retired in 1984, the Pontoon boat was his retirement gift to himself, and he retired from the boat in 2010 when I got it.

You and Charlotte helped my husband and I load some furniture on our boat to take out to Barndoor last summer (by the way it looks great on our porch). I tried to thank you with a loaf of my homemade zucchini bread each time I was back at the dock but you were always out and about. Hope to see you at some point this year.

We hope to see you too, we are in the water and should be there just about every sunny day we can get there. We are expecting our first grandchild this month so we might be missing a day or two in the very near future. See you soon.

Default Broken Glass

"Broken Glass"
#1 New in 1987 Four Winns 210 Horizon
#2 New in 2004 Formula 260SS
#3 New in 2006 Formula 280SS

In 1984 I bought a 1984 1950 Capri Bayliner. After a two week vacation on Alton Bay, the hull cracked from chine to chine about one third of the way aft of the bow. Bayliner repaired the boat, but we went to the Boat Show that winter and purchased the Four Winns. I have owned a Glass Company since 1978. So we decided "Broken Glass" was instrumental in the shiny new 210 Horizon. We have kept the name on every boat since.

"Good Stuff"
#1 2006 18' Bass Tracker Pontoon Boat. My mother gave it to me after my dad passed away. I brought it up here to try and figure out the Salmon. (I still have no clue how to catch them but I go out whenever I can) My dad never threw anything away claiming it was "good stuff" The family always teased him about it. My daughter named the boat after my father.

Boat was crushed by 3 White Pines during a winter storm

#2 2001 Grady White 248 Voyager. Boat came from Yarmouth and she was pretty crusty and neglected when I bought it. Lots of TLC and she loves the fresh water fishing every chance I get.

My boat is called "The Porpoise".... hoping to do some work on it this summer so that the name no longer matches it's behavior
