There have been several prior threads that may help which the search function will find. Such as: http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/...ight=lady+bugs

Right now they are getting ready to leave so you can wait for warm weather or use the vacuum.

Wink It's Their Nature...

They've likely wintered in a potted plant moved indoors last Autumn.

The bugs will flock to bright light: remove a screen and open a window facing bright sunlight.

With the lady bug's ingrained perogative, they get to pick the day!

I just noticed that you have changed your username for the forum and glad you have done that. Have fun and enjoy the Winni Forum with your new name.

Cutting to the chase...

I used to mix detergent, a dab of anti-freeze, and water in a sprayer for my grandfather to use on the ALB's in his back yard. Bugs don't have lungs. The soap clogs their breathing pores and they suffocate. I was surprised at how effective it was.

You can probably do without the anti-freeze and use an organic soap product if you wish to be more 'green.'
