Default Winnie the Blue Merle

Hi

I work with Australian Shepherd rescue. (ARPH) We are a national group of volunteers dedicated to rescuing and rehoming pure bred Aussies.

I am the local volunteer (Gilmanton) for our group and have been asked to assist in finding Winnie her forever home. Winnie has been in her foster home for over a year and a half.

I have attached a flyer describing Winnie. I have some personel experience with Winnie. I was lucky enough to do the initial evaluation for her before she was taken into ARPH rescue. She passed all the tests with flying colors.

Winnie is challenged because she is blind. She was siezed by animal control from what is described as a filthy hoarder. The conditions were so bleak that Winnie developed severe eye infections and her eyes were surgically removed.
During my eval she seemed to handle her blindness quite easily. Over all a nice dog.

If anyone knows someone who might be interested in Winnie please contact Michelle at the email in the flyer.

Thanks
Steve

Default Gorgeous!

She is absolutely beautiful! Hopefully she will find her fur-ever home soon, with someone who realizes a blind dog is not that much different than one that isn't. In the end, they all want and need the same things - good food, water, a warm bed and a loving family that will take care of them the rest of their lives.

Gorgeous dog. Hopefully someone will adopt her. I would if I wasn't planning on moving myself. But as soon as we find our new home and get the moving finished I'll be looking again. I just don't want to take in a dog and then stress everyone and the dog with change.

She is so beautiful. Breaks my heart that she was neglected so badly.

Talking Winnie the Blue Merle

Is beautiful!

It is such a shame that some hoarders drag animals into their sickness. Hopefully you will be able to find a good home for her.
Many animals with physical disabilities adapt so well and I am glad to hear that she is doing just that.
(R-Guy is lucky that I would mostly likely be allergic or we'd have another dog! )

She is going to make someone a wonderful companion. Keep us posted on her status.
