Default Sawyers

Major disappointed. I have tried twice now. Service is so bad, I do not know how their food is. First time I was the only person in there, and as much as I was seen at counter, no body came up to me. I left. Today, they took my order, and after 1/2 hour I finally asked where my order may be. They said they must have given it to some one else. I asked for a refund, as I was now in a rush having gotten this far behind. They would have to go find a manager. I gave up, and told them to keep the money. Last payment from me. I am local, and work nearby. It has slipped. No system.

This is very too bad.....

I would recommend writing to the owner or manager in order to obtain a refund as they don't deserve keeping your hard earned money.

Staffing is a major issue not only here, but all over the USA.

Sorry to hear this. I hope we hear from others who have better experience as things go forward.

Yeah that is not good to hear. We have stopped for ice cream twice this year and that part of the operation was fine.

Probably an overreaction on my part, but I had run out of time, and was in a bit of a mood. I sympathize with restaurants and such. But some do better with things as they are. I just am not likely to frustrate myself again.

For a long time Sawyers was excellent. I had a boat at Mountain View for 20 years and we went there often.

When the ownership changed, in my opinion, the prices went up and the quality went down. I bought a house nearby but I haven't gone there in a couple of years because of that.

I think the situation at Tamarack is similar. The long time owners were excellent but newer owners, not so much.

I was there Mother's Day and their frier was down. My wife didn't mind, she was getting the lobster roll anyway. I had the pulled pork, not bad. but I will say the cashier didn't know much about the changed menu and what came with what.
It is better than the last owners, but still not up to par with the original.
Time will tell I guess what happens.

I have always gone there a few times a year for the old school ice cream flavors they would still have but have not been impressed with the food in years regarding quality or price.

Sorry to hear about your experience, however that seems to me the on going theme with Sawyer's. The days of The " Sawyer's " owning it and running it as well as they did for so many years are gone. In my book, Customer service was everything to the Sawyer's. Great Food, a Smile and Change back in your pocket. With today's society things have changed for the worse ( Including Sawyer's Dairy Bar ) , but some on here recently have been talking about Pizza just up the road.
Very Few places are on my " GO TO " spots now because of Bad Customer service. I'm much older now, much wiser now and just don't put up with it much anymore. Why?? " Because I don't have to "..

Enjoy your summer and choose your Restaurants carefully.
