I've been saying that for years and you guys said I was Crazy. Read some of my old posts, you guys are about a year behind the curve. You really should listen to the heartbeat of the Locals. You might THINK you know, But WE KNOW we know.

Apparently Laconia loves to suck you state funds for taking projects no other area wants. There are plenty of empty buildings/locations for them to use for this all around the state. Each town should be required to take care of their homeless, not the state building a camp for them in one location for one town and area to take care of. The cost to get that up and running alone would be ridiculous not to mention the idea of it doing it. Where are the voting/tax paying residents going to stand up for themselves and stop the madness of their local reps?

You missed the part where locals were blindsided and don’t get a choice?

No one wants it, this time the local mayor / reps are treated like out of staters - “Don’t like it? Too bad, you don’t get a vote.”

But this does suck for everyone if it happens, since I agree some will never leave and we have too many already.

I was stating that when will the voters and tax payers get these people out of office, not that they had a choice in this particular matter. This town (knowing this is a State idea) always seems to take a half a step forward and then 4 back. This town loves to suckle on the you know what of government because they see funding, on top of their already ridiculously high taxes to their residents/non residents, and they don't do the math to see this programs cost more than they get in funding, which any normal person can see before it even happens. It Astounds me.

Keep in mind that many of these "homeless" people are addicts....they will do anything to score drugs and will be sneaking out into the community at first opportunity.
