Default Swimming Deer

On our way past the Cattle Landing on Saturday afternoon we noticed a boat stopped ahead of us and then noticed they were watching 4 dear swimming from the mainland over to Bear. It brought traffic to a stop as we all stopped to watch a very rare deer sighting. Not sure what drives a deer to do that. I've seen lots of deer on the Neck road and I'm always on the lookout for deer crossing the road. Didn't think I needed to worry about deer crossing the lake.

I don't know about those deer but this "dear" has 3 big spots on my arm that itch like crazy!! We've seen the deers swimming a few times and it is a sight to see.

Here's a closely cropped photo from a distance. We didn't want to get too close as the deer looked pretty spooked with all the boats stopping to watch.

I think there are quite a few deer on Bear. I saw two yesterday while out hiking on the trails near the church.

I didn't know that a Bearshark could take down a Deerfish.
