Patiently Watching: Can you tell us what network offers this great food truck race? I've seen lots of buzz about it on various social media today. Why would they pick February to race to Wolfeboro?

Its on the Food Network. It is usually a summer show, this is their first winter edition

The 47-year-old Florence, a celebrity chef who hails from South Carolina, stopped in at the Seven Sun Coffee & Tea in Wolfeboro on Tuesday and ordered a crepe. It drew 2,015 likes on his Instagram page.

Florence also went to Wolfe’s Tavern, where he ordered the Mount Crushmore poutine burger.

He dined at the Wolfeboro Inn Tuesday night and visited with the crew in the kitchen.

The Inn posted on Facebook: “It’s been a fun night with Tyler Florence in the kitchen! Hanging with Executive Chef Shawn Deegan, Sous Chef Brad Boisvert, chefs Nikki and Noah, and bartender Sonya. Small towns, great discoveries.”

Seacoastonline.com announced Wednesday that the show will be in Portsmouth next Monday and Tuesday, bringing four trucks to the city.

What a joke. This show "premiered' this week. We recorded it and finally scanned it last night. Other than the occasional, millisecond, glimpse of areas around Wolfeboro, and a few minutes of racing around inside Hunters, not much to see.

Even funnier/sadder, when they spent about 30 seconds talking about the great "city" of Wolfeboro, they showed shots of what looked like Woodstock VT.

It could be (I don’t know for sure ) a pay-perplay situation. I had someone come into our restaurant a couple of weeks ago who tried to get me to Utilize/pay for “influencers”. People who have established a large social media following and then get paid to make it seem like they care about your business.
