Default Ron Ulm Passing

I was saddened to read in the LADaily Sun that Ronnie Ulm had passed. He and his family had run the Center Harbor Sports Shop for many years. Growing up, he was to go to guy for which lure to fish to the get the big ones.

Default Ron Ulm

I was also saddened to hear this. Ronnie was definitely a fixture for a long time in Center Harbor.
He was also a student at Belknap College.

Agreed! Spent lots of time in that store while growing up over the summers in Ctr. Harbor buying bait, gear, inflatable rafts, etc... and just talking. Over all the years - from a kid to an adult - he always made time to chat. Ronnie was one of a kind!

Thank you for that info Pineedles. I have vivid memories of him and his Ctr Harbor store as a kid. He had gas pumps back in the day, and when my father would get gas I would window shop inside his place. He had everything an 8-10 year old would want, fishing equipment, BB guns etc all....Sad week at the north end of the lake Ron and Hal Lyon.

The Belknap College site has turned into one obituary after the other.

Marcia Lantz has died. She was the proctor in Coe House when I was a freshman and she was a senior. She graduated in 1968.
