Lake Winnipesaukee Mystery Stone
I was just looking around Wikipedia and found this story about a Mystery Stone found in Meredith near Lake Winnipesaukee in 1872. Pretty impressive!

Where do you find this stuff?
Nice find RIG.
Very mysterious. The Teepee seem out of place. I don't think that any local native american tribes used Teepees. The shelters that I have seen are made from tree bark laid out like shingles. Still a mystery is a mystery.... Misty Blue |

Proper setting ...
You know ... that stone would look right at home atop a certain stone tower I've seen near Governor's Island ....

The Mystery Stone is on long-term view at the state historical society in Concord. It's been in their possession for quite a long time.
