Default Tree Damage

Last weekend we tried to do our usual hike to the church from our camp on east bear island for the first time this season. There are an unbelievable number of trees down and broken limbs everywhere......more than I've seen in the 15 years we've been here. The familiar trails are so badly blocked that we actually lost our way!

Probably from those storms that came though on May 4th. I've noticed a lot of trees down in my neighborhood in Meredith since then. It was a wild night!

Most of that was from the storms that blew through last year late fall.

Default Gone with the Wind. 🌊

Tree damage was probably caused by the late October storm last year. Several trees were damaged along the East Bear Island shore at that time. Also, a small dock was overturned, and a boat sunk at its dock. 🐻
