Here in Waterville Valley, about 25 miles north and 1000' higher than Winnipesaukee, we got about 4" of excellent quality snow today. It transformed this place from the look of April back to a winter scene. Not enough snow for the big diesel groomer to get out on the cross country trails but still enoug to reopen some north end trails and definately a good shot of "goodbye frozen granular" for WV's 37 out of 52 now-open downhill trails. Tomorrow is lookinng like it could be the best down hill day in maybe two months.

With these excellent downhill ski conditions it's time to rethink that 9am speed limits meeting at the State House and go hit the slopes. I have my priorities and somehow, one more body, more or less, will not be missed. Tomorrow is the day to hit the slopes!
