Default Gas Furnace Repair Service

I'm looking for a gas furnace repair tech. in the Lakes region.
Furnace is a Lennox 90 gas furnace.

Needs a switch part on the lower access panel.
Apparently, this switch, if not operating properly, will prevent the furnace from running.

I contacted Ameri-Gas, they came saw and left. They said they had to order the part, that was over a week ago.

I'm located in the Gilford area, not that that matters.
If Forum could provide gas tech contacts, would be greatly appreciated !

!
If someone came out, inspected it and said they had to order a part would it not make sense to call them to determine the status of the parts order? If they special ordered a part for you they should have a reasonable expectation that you would still need the part when it arrived. It's not the middle of the winter where immediate service on a heating system is a requirement to keep a house from freezing.

A very valid point however BigDog may not have any hot water at the present time and needs the furnace repaired sooner than later......

If it truly is a gas “furnace” and not a gas “boiler”, he gets his hot water by another means....

Circling back with all.....

Amerigas is finally coming to the house today (they say ???), to install this little toggle switch in the lower panel of the furnace. Apparently, the switch is defective.

Will contact Forum referral 'Christian Repair' in the future and dump Americas !
Done with those folks, at least with me they just 'Yupped' me !

Hot water heater is on a separate line from furnace, so no worries there.

Thanks folks for your feedback, much appreciated !!!!

Just curious why your "dumping" Amerigas? From your post it looks they responded quickly, ordered the part required, contacted you when the part came in to schedule install. What did they do so wrong??

I'll second that sentiment, a vendor that did exactly what they said they were going to do and your going to dump them? This doesn't seem like a position a reasonable person would take.

Let me review, as my original Post may have not been entirely clear.....

Amerigas came on June 4, diagnosed the problem. The Service tech said he would order this $10 toggle switch, they didn't ! He also said he would followup with a call in a few days, that didn't happen either, so I feel like I was just given lip service !

Upon calling their office in Concord, they told me the part was not ordered, but checked with tech who serviced, apparently he dropped the ball !

Part was ordered around 6/7 and they office said they would call to schedule install visit. My wife called and again around 6/14, and again lip service... They said they'd call us Monday 6/18 never happened ! We did receive a call Tue 6/19, they would be sending a Tech out toady 6/21.
I'm in Mass now, wife at the Lake, so will sync up with her later today to see if Amerigas shows up ???

One last thing, apparently Amerigas has split the service area for Gilford, part of the town is serviced by the Concord office, the other half by the Laconia office, something to do with restructuring ?

And now you know the rest of the story ! (Paul Harvey)
