Default dinner reccomendation, please

Hello, we have been trying to find a restaurant in the Wolfeboro/Center Harbor/Meredith areas that has good prime rib during the week.

Any suggestions? We were hoping to get some at Nolan's tonight but alas, their website advertising prime rib on Thursday is inaccurate.

Thanks!

I've always had a good prime rib at The Bob House.

At one point, I would've said Canoe, but with the refurb came a new menu that's not as enticing as it once was. I'm a Bob House Homie now.

For high end dining there’s The New Woodshed in Moultonborough...
Had a great prime rib there a while back...

Thanks all, we're going to the Bob House--they serve prime rib Thursday through Sunday.

Please post your experience--I've ordered the seafood platter the last half dozen times, but I'm always open to other options!

It's not an Italian restaurant but their Chicken Parm is very good also!

I tried it once and remember not being blown away, but perhaps it's time for a second chance. Of course, the seafood platter is just. SO. GOOD.

I've only had one bad meal there and I wouldn't say it was their fault. I've probably been there about a dozen times.
I got a steak with a certain seasoning on it that I didn't like. I believe it had horse radish in it which I'm not fond of.

Went with my family ( total 8 including four kids ) and we made a reservation but they seemed to had lost it. We were seated in bar area. Food as usual was very good but noise level was almost unbearable. They didn't have any alternative in restaurant area. My only concern that in summer if you go and want to talk make sure you wait to get a table on the lounge side.

It can get very noisy in the area where the small bar is.

Went last night, had the prime rib, it was great, really liked the seasonings they used and it was cooked perfectly. Didn't care for the green beans as they were under cooked, but we weren't going there for the beans. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the prices were reasonable.

Default Bob House

We also had prime rib last night, and it was scrumptious (green beans...not so much). We were able to get a reservation, which is a huge plus. We will look forward to the next visit!

By the way we all agreed that the green beans weren't very good. Earlier in the week they had butternut squash which was delicious . In summer with as many dinners as they serve they should have at least two choices . Green beans should be an alternate

I'm just so impressed with the young women that owns the Bob House. I've only gone on weekends but she's always there on top of things. She wears every hat, I've seen her waiting tables, cleaning tables, taking reservations, hostessing, what ever needs to be done. I've seen her there 9 months pregnant and I've seen her there taking reservations with the baby sleeping on her shoulder. I don't know if her husband works there but she out works everyone. It's tiring just watching her.

Agreed, and she's always touching base with customers to make sure they're happy.
