Default Heading to Wisconsin for drive install

I thought I'd put a post up here about a new (to the public) outdrive system. I'm heading out to the Konrad Marine headquarters in Hudson WI. on friday. I'm having a pair of Konrad 540HP outdrives installed on our Cigarette Top Gun. The 540HP was developed for the Navy SEAL boats. Currently, there are about 100 of these units installed and they have proven to be pretty much unbreakable! This drive will be warranteed to 800 hp and has been tested to 1200 hp witout failure. For those of you (like me) who are sick and tired of breaking Merc drives this seems to be a fantastic alternative! I'm leaving on Friday and we will be testing on the Mississippi river next week.

Please do not turn this post into an "Offshore" bash. I am not a Winni boater, (used to be) just a Mainer who enjoys this site.

Sounds interesting. Let us know how they work out. I've got a 33 Outlaw with HP500s that could use an upgrade. If you don't mind, how much?

BTW, nice to see a felow OSO'r on here.
