Default Island Names

I would think that the island near Meredith Yacht Club would have had a name at some point. It's much bigger than Indian Island. Has anyone heard anything? Any other unnamed islands that really do have a name?

Here's a piece of trivium that I haven't seen anywhere on the forum: An old map on the wall at the Wolfeboro Inn has Becky's Garden identified as Beggar's Garden.

Okay I guess the anonymous Island in Meredith Bay will continue to live in obscurity. Ha

No feedback on Beggars Garden even?!

Post #12 in this thread has an email address for Ron Guilmette, the author of “The Islands of Winnipesaukee” . You could try asking him.

Thank you. I went to Rons talk last summer at the Lake Winni Museum and bought the book. At that time I hadn't heard of the former name of Beckys Garden.
