Default Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving

For each new morning with its light, For rest and shelter of the night, For health and food, For love and friends, For everything Thy goodness sends.

I like that. I'm going to use that as the blessing for today's dinner. Thanks.

Even the Pilgrims had Black Friday.

Default Thanks...

It was about 10 AM this morning. Deb and the girls were heading out for Thanksgiving with the family in the south of NH. I had just came home from a night shift at the power plant. No complaints! When you pull that butterball from the oven and the little red thing is sticking out from it's butt, just remember, (think of me thumping my chest) I'm the guy who made it happen!

I was alone. There was frost on the dock and frost on the Misty. "Just had to go!

My course was 180 heading out of Braun Bay into the broads. Rattlesnake was invisible in an advective fog. At 38 knots (sorry NHMP) I headed into it.

As the fog lifted the islands and southern moutains rose from the flat calm Lake. Magestic. At that time I knew that the Great Spirit was smiling on me and the Misty.

I came about and headed home, red hill and the ossipee's were in my view. A treasure.

Bless us our Lord, and these thy gifts....

Misty Blue.

Default Happy Thanksgiving to all!

A beautiful Thanksgiving with family today. My night ends with a Patriots win and thoughts of leaving early tomorrow to our place in Meredith and beloved lake. So much to be thankful for. Please take time to pause and say a short prayer for all the brave men and women in harms way serving our country so we can enjoy such magical days. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Default Tree on Mount

Last Thanksgiving I opened the Mount website and was delighted to see a snow covered Christmas tree on the bow? of the Mount Wahsington. It looked like a Hallmark Christmas card scene. I am hoping to open at the end of next week and see a tree. Thanks to whoever was responsible for it last year!

Default What the little girl said

Never forget what the six-year-old little girl said as she sat down to a bountiful Thanksgiving dinner with her family:

"I hate turkey, but I love the wonderful bread it eats."

TRY THIS:

Posting a picture here is pretty easy. Proceed as you would to make a post. Type in the text you want as usual.

NOW scroll down below the text box and find "Manage Attachments". Push the button. A box will appear up to the left. Inside the top of the box is a button entitled "Browse". Click that and it should take you to the place on your computer where you keep your pictures. It may show you "Folders", or maybe "Thumbnails" of your collection. The most recent pictures should be at the bottom. Right click on the picture you want and Preview..good idea because the thumbnails are pretty small. When you decide if that's the correct picture, right click on the picture and "Select". The picture file number and location will show up in the earlier box to the left of the "Browse" button.

Now click "Upload". Then Wait. It may upload in a few seconds ..or it may take a minute or two. Patience here. When it's done uploading, the ID of the picture will show up again, BUT.. down and to the left a little with a little color icon next to it.

NOW look for the "Submit Reply"" button. It may be partially hidden underneath the lefthand box. If you left click OUTSIDE the lefthand box, it will disappear and expose the "Submit Reply" button. Click "Submit Reply".

That should do it. NB

PS: If you like the way that worked and want to ADD another picture to the finished and displayed post, just click EDIT as usual and do the whole procedure again with a new picture.

PPS: I like to go to where my pictures are on the computer...BEFORE I write my post, just to bring the pictures "To The Top" as it were. I think it helps the upload program find the pictures easier.

NB
