Default Verizon Cell Signal

I'm seeing very weak, (1 bar) service on my Veirzon Wireless cell phone. All three phones in the house are the same 1 bar.

I'm in the Gilford Village area, but it's still just 1 bar all around the Gilford area.

Anyone else seeing the same?

Default Gilford Area

Several of my friends along Cherry Valley Road, have no or weak signal. I believe the tower atop Mt Rowe may be compromised? Normally the towers have backup generators.

...they are only as good as their fuel source. If it lost power like most of us, it would have been Wed. afternoon or early evening. Here we are at late Sat. or early Sunday, and very possible that it could have run out of fuel, depending on its source.

I was told WLKZ was off during most of the storm, they also broadcast from Mt Rowe.

7 hours late news but we went by Gunstock about noon today with a direct view of the cell tower. My wife's phone showed a red no signal icon. Also the phone system was out at Gunstock, we had tried to call the season pass office.

I think with the newer phones this is done automatically.

3G and earlier phones can still to *228. 4G does it automatically...it does nothing for them.

I just had a conversation with Verizon about the tower overlooking Alton Bay. I still have no improvement in signal from that tower, but Verizon in a press release says that it is active. Will let you know if I find out anything there with the Alton Tower...

Back to Gunstock.

You actually spoke to someone from Verizon? They are so hard to get on the phone. You deserve a prize!

They are really helpful there, aren't they? I wondered how you managed to first, get to the right person and second get the right answer, through the phone. Now I know! LOL
