Default If you are travelling through Connecticut . . .

If you are travelling from NY or Jersey (or points south) along Route 95 on your way up to Massachusetts and NH, you needn't worry about the fire on Route 95 in New Haven. I drove through there a couple of weeks ago on my way to southeastern Massachusetts and couldn't even figure our where the fire had been. No problem - no traffic.

Just wanted to pass that along.

The metal grid deck on the Merritt Parkway near Rt. 95 in Connecticut has been replaced (Thank God!!!!!). I hated that thing.

Default One More

The fire was in Bridgeport just north of exit 26. The state had it back up and open in a few days. They still have a speed limit of 45mph in the area. Connecticut is getting better with there roads, but they still have a long way to go!

Default Conn. Roads

I just drove up last week from NJ and they are STILL working on I-84 just beyond Waterbury. That stretch from Exits 24 thru 26 have been under construction for more than 2 years. Even on Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. it was still backed up. The # of tractor trailers was unbelievable and the narrowed lanes made for a 15 mph trip thru that section. Somebody is milking that job!
