Default ..... Parafunalia-Gilford

Parafunalia-Gilford has re-opened for the season ...... what a super-duper store....high quality boat and swim stuff ....at very decent prices ...... miles and miles ahead of Gilford-Wal-Mart for all that boat and swim stuff!

Stuff like wood oars, cleats, 303-waterproof protectant for Sunbrella, swim masks, swim flotation belts, swim suits, outboard 4-stroke screw-on filters, and a few thousand other items ...

Instead of going to the Wal-Mart boat dept ....maybe check out Parafunalia for the good stuff at a good price. Check it out, and u will be pleasantly surprised!

Ok .....well....maybe u still want to go to Walmart for their 12.88-gal of 2-stroke oil for your 20-year old stinky two stroker.....but for everything else......its Parafunalia!

Default Good prices?

FLL gone looney? I notice recently Watermark on Union Ave. has better prices on certain products. I buy mostly from Amazon, where items arrived in two days. Amazon also have a liberal return policy. I know we need to buy local and support the businesses but sometimes the there is a huge differences in prices that I can't miss.

Agree with FFL, Parafunalia is a good local source. Especially when the grandkids show up and have out grown the PFDs, swim masks and flippers.

They also carry Snacks. There is actually a sale going on this weekend: "Cheez-its, original style in the big $3.95 box". Buy one get one free...It's in the back of the store next to the anchors. NB

I have to agree with fat and their customer service is great! I do check Amazon but having a place right on lake is nice.

Default ..... cheez-its and peanut butter

Well ....... apparently ...... and according to these two geese who have now returned to Horse Island for four consecutive years ...... talk about Lake Winnipesaukee repeat visiters ..... who have the entire island to themselves and go into goose combat attack against any foreign canada geese who come close to their island...

From about 1910-1940 or so, Horse Island had an octagon cottage that was destroyed in a fire.

.... these geese report the only thing better than a cheez-it is a cheez-it with a little peanut butter!

Does Parafunalia have peanut butter?

On a more serious note..I have reports that some Water Fowl get a serious negative reaction to peanut butter..they get GAS. Not sure if that is something we should be concerned with.......OH WAIT..Gas contributes to Global Warming...or something.. NB

Default Stopped in on Saturday

We also stopped in on Saturday to say hello to the good folks that work there. Lot's of work was done inside over the winter. All new flooring and they moved the main desk area to the front of the store when you first walk in. Great store, good people, and the only place we go to buy boat supplies. I'll always support the local guy over the box stores.
