Campton Pond, maybe 30-acres big, which is where the Mad River backs up behind the Campton Dam, so it's is an area of the river known as Campton Pond, had most of its' ice break out about five days ago. Above the pond, the river is pretty much iced and still looks like winter. You can go fly fishing there and bounce a nymph across the shore ice shelf, out into the pond, as long as you got a license.
Some guy fell into the Winnipesaukee River, in Belmont or somewhere, last Nov-Dec, and his body was found days and miles down river at the Franklin Dam? Was he fishing? Looks like that river done caught him.
