Should have been called 'The Trump Parade'. There were more Trump flags than boats.

It had to have been at least 5 miles long. Very fun to be part of it.

From Weirs it went by Governors' Island, Saunders Bay, turned around there and back to Meredith Bay then returning to Weirs. A lot of boats dropped out though after going by GI. It was very rough from boat traffic even before the parade started.

Default Curious

I wasn’t there and am curious. Was it organized for fun or was the intent to show support for President Trump? Just wondering and not intending to pass judgement or stir the pot.

Smile Boat Parade 8.22.20

Perfect picture analogy, the only thing missing is the train wreck.

My question was serious - was it a Trump parade or something else?

What I REALLY wanted to do was quote "It was very rough even before the parade started" and make a joke about that summarizing Trump's presidency, but I didn't because I value this forum being free from politics. ()

I'll take the blame for being the first to mention 'Trump' in this thread however it was just a casual observation on the number of flags.

Some, be it right or left, simply cannot resist ramping up the rhetoric. They are unfailingly perfect at doing this every time.

Bottom line, in three months we'll all know where the train (or boat) wreck is. End of story.

I was responding in kind to the folks heart that went pitter patter.
And Let’s Keep America great.

But no, that wasn’t the start was it?

But you wouldn’t think that was the start of anything now would you.

Nor was the crash boats picture representing Biden’s camp. No that wasn’t raising the bar now was it.

But did I stoop as low and try to match or top it. No.

Instead Trumpers blame me for escalating it.

I don’t think the person that observed the Trump flags started anything.
But the response did. But I guess you wouldn’t see it that way.

IMO, you are the one who is trying to keep this political nonsense going. Saying that 4 more years of Trump is giving you a heart attack. My final statement is that 4 years of the Trump alternative will give me a heart attack. Now.....can this please stop right now?

The Trump boat parade was AWESOME! Only now in 2020 are we demonized for showing respect and support for our president!
