Christmas Tree Deal..
...If anyone still needs a tree, Stephens Landscaping Garden Center has a great deal. We decided somewhat last minute to spend Christmas here and came up yesterday in search of a tree. Went to Stephens and all trees are $40, plus a free poinsettia. We got this big boy, (just shy of 10'), plus a pretty big poinsettia. When the guy told me it was $40, I asked him if he forgot the "1" at the beginning!

Hopefully you told your significant other the plant was way over-priced but you just had to get one as a surprise.

$5 at Tractor Supply over the weekend, but we overpaid at $65 Thanksgiving Weekend! Needed the cheer and all that.

Sometimes it's worth it to wait
A few years ago I waited until Christmas Eve to get a tree (Duh!), and found some great ones at Osbornes Agway for $5. As I was loading it onto my car, they tried to get me to take another one for free!

Put the tree up Christmas Eve...
...I remember my father telling me that when he was a kid and into young adulthood, (1930's and 40's), families typically did not put the tree up until Christmas Eve, and then it came down on "Little Christmas", (Epiphany), in early Jan.
