Default Sunday Morning Visitors

My neighbor's dog, who generally lives in our yard, starting barking like mad around 1am this morning and didn't stop the whole night. I was lying in bed awake all night thinking of how I was going to get on here first thing in the morning and post on the thread about neighbors and their annoying dogs... When I looked out in the morning, I discovered what the brave dog was barking about all night... a family of bears (mother and three cubs) up our trees! We've been watching them for an hour - it's a pretty amazing sight!

If anyone wants to explain to me how to post photos on here I'd be happy to!

ok....so they're "awake". hmmm.
I'm on my way up shortly, for a closing on a piece of land that I bought. ( Yay !!!) Maybe I should not go walk the land alone afterwards.

Would love to see the pics.

When you post a reply you can hit the "Manage Attachments" button below the typing area or hit the paper clip above the typing area. Then "browse" to the right folder in your computer and click on the picture or pictures you want to post. You may want to resize the pictures before doing this so the file size is less than 200 kb. Good luck.

I heard about the mother and her 3 cubs in the back yard first thing this morning on the police scanner. The dispatcher said that it was an FYI only to the cruiser. She actually had a chuckle when she was telling the officer. Aren't they great to see so close up and they aren't doing serious damage to anything? We see them in our back woods once or twice a year.

The officer took some photos and moved on! As did most of the neighborhood! The bears left around 10am. We watched them for 2 1/2 hours and it was really incredible. The family dynamics were amazing! I'm at work now but will follow the directions above and hope to post some photos later today.

I will try to explain, but I'm not good at putting things down so people can under stand them. First log into the thread as usual and put what you want to into the usual location. Before doing this I guess I should say that you need to download your pictures into a location that you normally do and put a title to it so that you will remember what picture you want to attach. Now go to the location below where you write and look for what I have attached and underlined below this. Click on it and it will give you a location to browse and go to the location that you put your picture and click the picture you want and it will upload to your location. You can add more than one, but it is better if you have to many that you load them into the photo post and attach that location so that people can click on it and view all the pictures. I'm sure I'll get something said as I might have left something out so I would try it and or wait and see if anyone else has input to this. Good luck and I got a good chuckle when I saw your post after hearing on the scanner.

Eureka, you did ok. Next time try down sizing the picture so that it fits a little better on th screen, but you did a great job. The bear cubs look like you would like to go and cuddle them don't they.

A nature camera recorded another black bear—in a video only 30 seconds long.

Our bears are more refined.

Default If you could be so kind.......

If they should come back could you possibly try to lure them out to in front of the weirscam. Last week I saw a picture of three turkeys on the ice in Alton. Three bears on the ice would totally blow that away!!!!!!!!! Thank you in advance. Come to think about it three beers on ice wouldn't be bad either.
