Hey Frank,

I was up last weekend and the fishing was still great. I was fishing with senkos and dark colored tube baits on the rocks. Caught a bunch of fish both days anywhere from 8-15 feet. I was fishing around the bear island and pine island area. From the website, the water temp hasn't changed much since last weekend so I think you should get onto some good fish.

GOOD LUCK!

Tight lines.

Default Smallies

Just commented smallmouth thread written by Murph, on how good the fishing was last weekend at Winnie, even with the water temp being 56 or 58deg.
I would prefer to catch smallies on jerkbaits and spinnerbaits, but tubes and plastic on the bottom was what they wanted....... in retrospect I should have worked a Carolina rig on the off shore humps.....easy to pass up those things when you are doing very well.... jeff
