Can you post an address, phone number or e-mail address where fishermen can report catches of tagged bass?

Also -- what if you see a tagged bass while diving? Do you need to report information from the tag, or just what you saw?

Great report -- very interesting -- I'd always wondered if the fish from tournaments traveled far from the release sites. Obviously, they do. I wonder what the mortality rate for tournament fish looks like...

Default very interesting

We pulled in and released about 120 small mouth during the first two weeks of August. Nothing with tags. But from the reports they do travel.

Default contact information if you catch a tagged bass

If you catch a tagged bass, please record the following information (if you are scuba diving, the only way this information will be useful is if you can read the tag number):

Tag Number;
Location of Catch (GPS/general location) and release location (if fish was released);
Date bass was caught;
Whether bass was kept or released; and
Angler contact information (name, phone number).

Please DO NOT remove tags from bass that are to be released.

Great -- thanks for the information.

That's what I figured (about spotting them underwater). But I figured I'd ask since it seems that these days I see many more bass while diving than I do on the end of my line...

Cool program -- and I look forward to reading more of the results. I hope more people read about it and participate.

Spread the word.
