Default Rainbow Trout in the shallows hunting for salmon eggs...

Had good luck this weekend in shallow, (2-3 feet of water), using salmon eggs. Salmon are laying their eggs this time of year in shallow and the rainbows come in to feed on them. Unfortunately for the Rainbow that I caught, there was a hook attached to the salmon eggs.... HA

Default The Trout is the Good-Looking One...

Ok, here's the pic....

Note: No Rainbow Trout were harmed in the taking of this picture. S/He was returned to the water after showing the fam and taking the mug shot.

I would have been drawn and quartered for releasing that fish. My wife and kids LOVE the salmon and rainbows from Winni. While I love to catch them, clean and cook them I don't eat fish. Go figure. Nice catch!
