Default New Cockpit cover

I am in Moultonborough near Center Harbor.

Need a new canvas cockpit cover for my boat and I do not have an old one for a pattern. I am looking for recommendations on who would come to my yard in early spring and fabricate the cover...or come to my dock after I launch. I could possibly arrange with my son to drag the boat to a shop if not too far away and leave it for a few weeks.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Melvin Village canvas shop, and they came up with a solution to an issue I was having with my pontoon boat cover, so I'd give them a shout.

Agree. Janya is great. Really knows her stuff.
Hint, never tell her how you think she should do the job.

I had a cover made by Town Upholstery in M'boro without a pattern. They are on Rt 25, across from the airport - same driveway as Independent Marine. Good job/good price...

If you have a trailer and can haul the boat I suggest Village Canvas.... Have had repairs done and a couple of boats totally covered over the years, great work fair prices... When we had some boats down, we dropped the boat off on a Sunday night, and they where done Friday afternoon.....

Default Melvin Village Canvas is Very Good!

I've had both canvas and cushions made by Janya at Melvin Village Canvas Co... she is outstanding!

The canvas was for our 13' Whaler—just over the wood bench and console so it was a tricky fit. It came out great.

A couple of years after she made it, a red squirrel got into the boat during the winter and damaged it. I went back to her for a repair. She took a look and said, "Wait here." She came back with a remnant of the original job to use for the repair! I couldn't believe it!

She is a true craftsperson ... terrific attention to detail, very high standards.

I bought a cockpit cover for my old Bayliner in 2023 from Leta's Top Shop in Washington state. Leta's has the patterns from Bayliner and I was able to get an exact copy of the original canvas. I had to attach all the snaps but it was a lot less than custom canvas. Maybe you can find out if Leta's or someone else has the patterns for your boat. This year I had a full set of canvas made for my Sea Ray by Village Canvas and they did a great job but it was expensive.
