Captain Bart's season closing
Just wanted to relate that Captain Bart is closing for the season on Sunday, September 20th at 2 pm. It's 2 weeks earlier than last year, so if you want to stock up on those wonderful frozen crab cakes for the winter, you better get there soon to get your supply! Can't tell you how delicious one of those crab cakes tastes with the snow raging outside - mmm, mmm! Hours at Captain Bart's until the 20th are: Wednesday, 4 - 6 pm, Thursday, 12 - 5 pm, Friday, 4 - 6 pm, Saturday, 12 - 5 pm, and Sunday 11 - 2 pm.

Stocking up
You are right JL, they are the best. all year long. If anyone wants to make sure they DON'T miss out, call Capt. Bart, this week and place an order and he will hold them for you. I don't know his number off hand, but it is posted somewhere in one of the "Capt.Bart." threads. It can be a very long winter without Crab Cakes!

If you need a Bart's crabby fix in the winter, you can get them at Buckeys (last I knew) |

I love them both (Kevin's and Captain Bart's). I live here year round and are able to go to Kevin's. However, since I/m not sure Kevin offers take-out freezer orders, it's nice to have some in your freezer, and on those nights or (days) when you can't think of a thing to have for dinner or lunch (and the snow is raging outside or it's just too darn cold to go out), you just pop them into your oven.
The telphone number for Captain Bart's is 476-8830. |
