Default Low Boat Hours = Sad Face

Anyone else depressed about their '21 boating hours? I don't have an actual count, but other than 4th of July fireworks at Wolfeboro and a few other short outings, the rain has conspired to keep us off the water.

Jettie One actually has more use as I can fit it in between weather events and there's no need to organize the family.

Hoping for a better August and a sweet fall!

By far this has been our lowest season so far. Plenty of time left though.

Perhaps it is time to redefine what a "good boating day" is.

No lightning... go!

I have been getting plenty of hours in... But I also don't need sunny weather... some of the best rides happen when the sky is gray, and most people don't go out, in those conditions, so it is like having the lake to yourself.

As The sailors say when the winds hit 25 knots that is the time to be out there. For me that means riding wave crests which creates excitement.

I've burned thru about 180 gallons of gas so far. Not sure on hours though.

I'm up to about 520 total hours on the boat, I think we have 10-15 from this year so far. We are up for our week rental starting the 7th so will add some more. Only been on the big lake for one day this year, most of our time has been down at the family place on Upper Suncook. I have spent probably 4-5x that amount of hours fixing every small issue the boat had and cutting/polishing/waxing the entire thing though. At least it looks good in my new barn!

Default Fuel burn?

I'm sure there's room here for a snide remark. Mostly we now cruise at 8-12 knots. Nobody spills anything and the galley crew doesn't dump hors d'oeuvres on the deck. No need to go someplace fast so we can go someplace else fast.
Anybody who is disappointed in the amount of fuel burned this season, I d be happy to accept some sort of credit.
