I can try out my new Easter snowshovel today
Don't you love it when ice out is followed by a snowstorm? So far -- 1" on my back deck; steps; lawn; driveway; car; roof -- well, you get the picture.
Can't wait to see what May will bring! |

We left the island at 9 am this morning, snow pelting us in the face all the way back to Shep's.
Yesterday however was a different story, gorgeous and calm, perfect weather for opening the camp, dock is in and water running. |

Winter Wonderland
Oh.... I forgot, it is spring! We are on the island and the boat cover is covered with snow.
We are hoping for a clearing sometime today so we can get off island. It is great to be here... Too bad we put the snowmobiles away. IG

Come hither look
Yeah, yesterday was Mother Nature's "Come hither" look. Today is her "Wicked Witch of the West" act. Women! Why can't they simply make up their minds and stop aggravating everyone?

Boating in a snow storm not as romantic as it sounds.
I drove the boat today in the snow. My face had an ice cream headache. Not the experience I have been waiting 6 months for.
Maybe it was the $4.53 I saw on the pump? |

A lot of people might say that would be an improvement if I wore that.

We went up to Steele Hill to do some swimming Saturday. It's a good thing they plowed before we left. The drive down, in a min-van, would have been too exciting!

LOL for the day...
walking in to the gym Saturday, with the crappy snow falling, I asked aloud, "If April Showers Bring May Flowers, what does THIS .... bring?" A bystander called it - "a bunch of pissed off people!" IMMD

Late April snow is a poor man's fertilizer. At least that is what the old farmers say.
