I've seen a few Capri 25's on the lake this season and wondering if any use this forum.

Friends of our had one for a year or two and then upgraded. I "sailed" on it once during a very calm day (we spent more time motoring than sailing). I believe it's kept in Fay's and is sytill called "Swimmer". I think it has great lines. That's all I got...

Maybe there's luck to be found at the Capri 25 group. It appears to be a light, fast boat:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Capri25/?tab=s I had never heard of a Cape Dory until recently, but from my dock you can see three Cape Dorys moored. It's described here (at Fay's) as a tough boat. Both appear similarly-priced. http://www.faysboatyard.com/site_pag...tem_78536.html |

Thanks.
Dave,
Thanks I know Swimmer well, she's mine now. http://teamswimmer.blogspot.com/ A/S, As far as I know, I am the only Capri 25 owner on Winni that is a member of the Yahoo Capri 25 group. All the other members are scattered around the country with the lion's share at the Wazeta Yacht Club in MN. I was hoping a few other Capri 25 owners might be interested in some "beer can" racing next season. I appreciate the responses! |

That looks like Swimmer all right. I've changed the instruments however. When was that picture taken?

Say hi sometime, we are in Fay's now and then and tie up to "Snapshot" (what a gorgeuos boat that is!) to visit our friends. Probably the only green and White Regal that ties up to their boat. |

Here's a picture of what the same area your daughter was sitting near looks like now:
Will keep my eye out for you next summer and say hello. What marina do you keep your boat in, or do you have your own property? |

We trailer the boat and do not own any property on the lake. We use the boat in lots of other places so have no desire to keep in in a marina. That said, Winnipesaukee is <1 hour from our house so we do at least 80% of our boating there.
Swimmer looks nice with her new electronics and cleaned up brightwork. You gotta work on those figure 8 knots though... Here's Mischief Managed throttling up in Blackey Cove: |
